The valve industry has changed and the situation is difficult for everyone

Some people and companies may not yet understand that the valve industry has gone through a real period of change in the past few years.
1. The traditional energyindustry has slowed down very much, fewer new traditional energy stations have been built, and the government has invested more money in green energy, such as solar and wind, which has made it harder for energy producers to make a profit. In many countries, the hydropower sector is loss-making.
2. Lower oil prices are a heavy result for refiners and make it harder to make a profit. Many Central European countries have closed a number of refineries. In addition to this, they are constantly reducing maintenance costs.
3. While valvesthat have ruptured or leaked over the years in power plants and refineries have been replaced, end users are currently looking for cheaper solutions to repair on-site valves.
4. Valve industry experts, designers and manufacturers have suffered for several years due to this situation. The consequence for valve manufacturers, but also for valve traders and wholesalers, is that everyone is trying to reduce costs! Reduce costs by reducing spare parts inventory, reducing raw materials and instant valves. Reduced costs mean fewer sales engineers, fewer back-office staff, and fewer technical experts.
5. In addition, only the "big" valve team of "shareholder value orientation" makes every effort to improve profits. Shutting down factories and foundries, completely abandoning the concept of "service", like some valves they offered a few years ago, today they cannot offer spare parts or fully compliant replacements.
The future of the valve industry will belong to companies that can provide reliable "full service".
(1) 5 years of unconditional valve warranty (this is just one example - probably another period) at least (this means high-quality valve manufacturing, not "I offer cheap valves").
(2) The ability of valve manufacturers to retain inventory of critical spare parts or to quickly assemble tissues into a finished stock must be strengthened.
(3) Valve manufacturers have their own skilled service team, which can assist any end customer site that needs help in a short time.
(4) Valve manufacturers have their own "in-house" development engineering team that is able to find quick solutions for special needs "customized".
Higher quality, faster delivery time, more efficient maintenance service, better quality solution!
The valve industry has changed. The situation is difficult for everyone....
However, the future will belong to those companies that understand the reality and know what the future needs to meet the needs of the market.
"Only those who know history can assess the present and make the right decisions for the future."
